achievement level descriptors

Smarter Balanced has developed a system of initial achievement level descriptors (ALDs) that are aligned with the Common Core State Standards and the Smarter Balanced assessment claims. Assessment Claims are the broad evidence-based statements about what students know and can do as demonstrated by their performance on the assessments. At each grade level within math and ELA, there is one overall claim encompassing the entire content area and four specific content claims.
